A fully equipped music room is available for music performance and drama in the basement of the Hevey building. This room is of great benefit to the students throughout the year but especially for rehearsals for carol services, open days and music practicals. The place of music has become more prominent in Coláiste Mhuire in recent years. Music has become a feature of many school events while Ms. Mary Maguire has guided the talents of our musicians within our Trad group.

 

At both Junior Cert and Leaving Cert level, music is an examinable subject. This offers our musicians the opportunity to get reward for their talents in state exams. Whether our students wish to pursue music in the classroom or merely as means of enjoyment and expression, Coláiste Mhuire provides for both.
